SenseTime Reports First Profit in H1 2026, Pioneering New AI Business Value Model

SenseTime Group Inc. (stock code: 0020.HK) released its 2026 interim financial report on August 26, 2026, achieving profitability for the first time. During the reporting period, SenseTime generated revenue of RMB 2.91 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23.4%; gross profit reached RMB 1.21 billion, growing by 32.9%. The gross profit margin also improved to 41.4%. Additionally, the group disclosed for the first time that recurring revenue reached RMB 1.14 billion, accounting for 39.3% of total revenue.

In terms of profitability, SenseTime achieved a profit of RMB 620 million according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Revenue from generative AI reached RMB 2.33 billion, accounting for nearly 80% of the group's total revenue. Revenue from overseas operations grew by 127% year-on-year, indicating strong growth potential.

SenseTime continues to promote the large-scale commercial application of AI capabilities, centered around "a unified model, a Token factory, and an intelligent management system," forming its unique business value system. Xu Li, Chairman and CEO of SenseTime, stated that this system not only enhances intelligent capabilities but also reduces Token costs and improves the pricing power of enterprises.

Xu Li pointed out that this system can deeply integrate into the workflows of enterprises and individuals, creating delivery capabilities and helping SenseTime move beyond simple price competition to create sustainable business value.

In terms of technological innovation, SenseTime launched several advanced models in 2026, including the NEO-Unify architecture and the SenseNova series. These models benchmark against and surpass internationally leading models such as Gemini and GPT on multiple core metrics. SenseTime's Token factory is also being upgraded, improving Token production efficiency and reducing costs through optimization of models and infrastructure.

As of July 2026, SenseTime's daily Token service volume reached 24 trillion, with total computing power scaling to 48,000 P, demonstrating its strong capabilities in the field of intelligent production.
