Databricks announced on August 14, 2026, that its revenue run rate has surpassed US$7 billion, achieving over 80% year-over-year growth in the second quarter. This growth momentum has prompted the company to complete a US$5 billion strategic financing round, reaching a valuation of US$190 billion.

Financing and Future Development

This financing round was led by Coatue, with participation from Blackstone, MGX, T. Rowe Price, and new investor Sixth Street Growth. The funds will further drive Databricks' innovation in Lakebase, Genie, and Unity AI Gateway, providing enterprise AI agents with capabilities for context, control, choice, and cost optimization.

Databricks' Financial Performance

According to reports, Databricks' Lakebase product has a revenue run rate exceeding US$100 million, designed as a serverless Postgres database for AI agents. Additionally, the revenue run rate for Databricks' data warehousing product, Lakehouse, has also surpassed US$1.5 billion, with year-over-year growth exceeding 100%. Currently, over 1,000 customers have annual spending exceeding US$1 million, with more than 100 customers spending over US$10 million.

Ali Ghodsi, co-founder and CEO of Databricks, stated, “Businesses not only want AI to converse; they want AI agents to operate within the business, remember context, provide accurate answers, and execute tasks without exceeding budget.”

Databricks is headquartered in San Francisco and has over 30 offices worldwide, supporting more than 20,000 organizations, including adidas, AT&T, Bayer, Mastercard, and 70% of the Fortune 500 companies.
