Sophos announced the launch of its latest product, Sophos Fusion, on August 11, 2026. This is the industry's first comprehensive AI-native cybersecurity defense system, designed to address cyber threats in the AI era. Sophos Fusion integrates multiple defense layers, including security operations, endpoint, network security, identity, email, and cloud, utilizing AI technology for threat prevention, detection, investigation, and response.

Addressing Increasingly Complex Cyber Threats

With the advancement of AI technology, the speed, scale, and complexity of cyberattacks are continuously increasing. According to a report by Gartner, many large enterprises currently use over 45 independent security products, which places a higher financial and management burden on cybersecurity teams. Sophos Fusion aims to address these issues by providing a unified solution.

Four Key Features of Sophos Fusion

  • Unified Contextual Data Layer: Information from all control points is instantly entered into a unified database.
  • Synchronized Defense: When one control point detects a threat, other control points can quickly coordinate actions.
  • Agent-Based Autonomous Operation: The system can autonomously investigate and respond to threats within a specific scope.
  • Continuous Accumulation of Case Experience: Each threat discovery enhances the customer's defensive capabilities.

Sophos Fusion is an advanced version of Sophos Central and has integrated Secureworks' analytical technology, using agent-based AI to connect every control point in the environment. Sophos' global Security Operations Center (SOC) currently serves over 40,000 customers, with 52% of cases fully handled by AI, and an average response time of just 89 seconds.

Future Feature Expansion Plans

Sophos plans to roll out several new features between August and October 2026, including:

  • Sophos Next-Gen SIEM: Provides long-term data retention and compliance reporting, charging based on the number of users and servers.
  • Sophos AI Defense: Assists enterprises in protecting the AI tools they use and enforcing AI usage policies.
  • Sophos CISO Advantage: Offers CISO-level professional guidance covering security controls and risk assessments.
  • Sophos MDR: Introduces AI-driven continuous threat hunting capabilities, enhancing two-way response capabilities.
  • Sophos XDR: Rebuilds analytical technology, adding thousands of detectors and automation features.

Joe Levy, CEO of Sophos, stated that Sophos Fusion is a modern, intelligent, and adaptable defense solution aimed at enhancing human-machine collaboration to tackle increasingly complex cyber threats.
