Neuron Digital has been awarded the Digital Twin Kitemark™ certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI) at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), becoming the first smart technology company globally to receive this honor. This independent certification highlights Neuron Digital's credibility, safety, and excellence in outcome-oriented capabilities in the digital twin domain.
Setting a New Benchmark for Digital Twin Certification
Neuron Digital's success is not only a personal achievement but also sets a new benchmark for the entire industry. The certification follows the "Digital Twin - Maturity Model and Maturity Assessment Guidelines" (ISO/IEC 30186:2025), providing independent and authoritative verification of Neuron Digital's digital twin and governance system maturity, offering solid assurance to clients, asset owners, and regulatory bodies.
Multiple Authoritative Certifications
In addition to the Digital Twin Kitemark certification, Neuron Digital has also obtained BSI's AI Management System certification (AI Management System ISO/IEC 42001) and BIM Software Kitemark™ certification, further solidifying its commitment to digital transformation and responsible AI governance.
This technological capability is rooted in the engineering practice experience of Arup, successfully validated in real-world construction scenarios. Neuron Digital's core foundation is its self-developed building space ontology system, capable of autonomously generating targeted improvement recommendations to enhance the performance of digital twin systems.
Market forecasts indicate that the market size for digital twin technology will exceed US$125 billion in the coming years, as this technology reshapes asset-intensive industries such as infrastructure, construction, and smart cities.
The Hong Kong SAR government has also incorporated the application of digital twins into its smart city infrastructure strategy, planning to build an integrated urban management system called the "AI City Brain" to accelerate the development of digital twin cities.
Andy Butterfield, BSI's Global Director of Digital Built Environment, stated that Neuron Digital's achievement strongly demonstrates the effectiveness of combining innovation, data, and new technologies supported by reliable governance and independent assurance.
Pang Pui Yan, Vice Chairman of Neuron Digital Group, remarked that this certification not only affirms its technological strength but also serves as a guide for future development, helping the company promote best practices globally.
Wong Ping Sze, CEO of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, also pointed out at the seminar that the real challenge of digital transformation lies in the continuous, reliable, and large-scale application of technology in the real world, and that Hong Kong has clear leading opportunities.
